Our platform revives that era on video cassettes. From the sci-fi adventures of “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” to the action-packed thrills of “Top Gun,” and the heartwarming story of “The Breakfast Club,” we bring back the memories of these iconic films on VHS that defined a generation.

This sentiment isn’t ours to claim. Kudos to Nerd Out With Me (#nerdoutwithme) for articulating it so well. This was the era preceding giants like Blockbuster, when video stores were local social gathering spots. Remember the excitement of spotting the movie you wanted and the letdown of approaching the counter with an empty case, hoping it’s available, only to hear, “It seems we should have one more, but it’s missing”? “As owners and former employees of the original Video Box 1981 to 1991, (then located on Geer Road, next to the current Save Mart and the former nostalgic Lucky’s) we will be providing numerous reward gifts for your support in a variety of ways….
From participating in the six weeks of local contact, shooting in and around Turlock, as extras, or atmosphere personal, to having speaking parts and even speaking parts with celebrities from 70s and 80s we have invited from past, episodic television and motion pictures, to join the of the production in cameo appearances!
With over 200 scenes to be captured during shooting, there may be a writing credit for a scene you may wish to provide for scenes! There are different levels of rewards attached to your potential contribution with this Kickstarter campaign, they include campaign they include rewards at different levels where all will receive commemorative gifts, from autographed, “VHS, Forever! Hollywood”, casting crew photos, certified autographed photo of Scotty Schwartz, our executive producer, from “A Christmas Story”, T-shirts and yes, even nostalgic VHS cassettes!
Join the “crowd” and learn more about the project scheduled to shoot in mid 2024 in and around Turlock brick and mortar locations where we are currently contracting with various celebrities from the 80s and 90s who will be doing cameos and a meet and greet.
